Sales Associate Part or Full-Time
Do you have a passion for cooking and entertaining? Are you interested in retail work that’s creative and engaging? Boston’s premier kitchen and entertaining store is looking for sales associates to deliver world-class service to our customers.
As members of a small, motivated team, Blackstone’s sales associates have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Cash handling and proficiency with Lightspeed Point-of-Sale
- Product knowledge across multiple categories of kitchen, home, and gift items
- Inventory maintenance (receiving, stock counts, etc)
- Stocking and shelving (requires the ability to lift 35 lbs and stand on ladders)
- Hand-selling (product suggestion, upselling, etc)
- Product demonstrations and tastings
- Merchandising and seasonal displays
- Maintaining a clean store (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc)
The ideal candidate will be able to multitask and work independently, while maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor even during busy times. Strong communication and listening skills are a must. While experience in a neighborhood or boutique retail environment is preferred, anyone with a background in high-level customer service, restaurants, and/or bartending is encouraged to apply.
Hours and Benefits
- Blackstone’s is open 10am-6pm Monday-Saturday and 12pm-5pm Sunday
- Hours are extended during the holiday season (mid-November through Christmas)
- We are looking for candidates who can work 2-4 full day shifts including at least one weekend day.
