Summer is fast approaching, banishing the cold and bringing lush greenery, warm breezes, and relaxing days by the water. Summer is always better with a drink (alcoholic or otherwise) in your hand, so let’s beat the heat by preparing a roster of refreshing summer cocktail recipes. We’ve compiled a list of our top three summer cocktail recipes – plus ways to add a twist to the classics.

    1: Moscow Mule Cocktail Recipe

    Yield: 1 serving

    Ingredients

    • 2 oz vodka
    • Juice from 1 lime
    • ½ cup crushed ice
    • 4 oz ginger beer
    • Lime wedges, for garnishing

    Instructions

    • Add crushed ice to a copper mug.
    • Use a jigger or measuring cup to add your vodka.
    • Juice 1 lime directly into your mug.
    • Top off your glass with ginger beer, stir to combine, and garnish with a lime wedge.
    • (Optional) swap your vodka for sparkling water to transform this into a refreshing summer mocktail.

Add a twist to the classic Moscow Mule

If a Moscow Mule and a Mojito had a baby, the result would be an Island Mule. One Part Co.’s Island Mule infusion combines the fresh mintiness of a Mojito with the tanginess of a Moscow Mule to create a drink that will have you coming back for more. Just add this to a pitcher with ice for a relaxing day by the pool with friends.

A silver jigger, wooden muddler, a small glass filled with limes and mint, a large glass filled with red liquid, half a lime, and a sprig of mint sit on a white countertop.

Bar tools, like shakers, jiggers, and muddlers, make it fun to get crafty with cocktails and mocktails.

    2: Margarita Cocktail Recipe

    Yield: 1 serving

    Ingredients

    • 2 oz tequila
    • 1 oz orange liqueur
    • Juice from 1 lime
    • (optional) 1 oz simple syrup
    • 1 cup ice
    • Lime wedges
    • Rimming salt

    Instructions

    • Use a jigger or measuring cup to add tequila and orange liqueur to a cocktail shaker.
    • Juice 1 lime into your cocktail shaker and add ½ cup of ice.
    • Cover and shake well.
    • Taste your mixture and add simple syrup, if needed.
    • Run a lime wedge over the rim of a glass before coating the rim of the glass in rimming salt
    • Add ½ cup of ice before straining the contents of your shaker into your glass and garnishing with a slice of lime.
    • (Optional) Swap out tequila and orange liqueur for a splash of orange juice and more lime juice to make a refreshing summer mocktail.

Add a twist to the classic Margarita

One Part Co. adds a botanical spin to the margarita with their Florita Cocktail Infusion. Add a hint of floral richness, with a touch of lavender and orange zest, to your refreshing margarita this summer. Just add this to a pitcher with ice for your next summertime gathering.

    3: Paloma Cocktail Recipe

    Yield: 1 serving

    Ingredients

    • Grapefruit wedges
    • Rimming salt
    • 2 oz tequila
    • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
    • 2 oz sparkling water
    • Juice of 1 lime
    • ½ oz agave
    • ½ cup ice

    Instructions

    • Rub a grapefruit wedge around the edge of a glass before dipping the rim into rimming salt
    • Use a jigger or measuring cup to add tequila to your glass.
    • Juice half a grapefruit and a whole lime into your glass.
    • Measure your sparkling water and agave into the glass.
    • Top your glass off with ice, stir gently to combine, and garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
    • (Optional) Swap out tequila for more sparkling water to make a refreshing summer mocktail.

Add a twist to the classic Paloma

One Part Co. takes this refreshing cocktail up a notch with their Spicy Paloma Cocktail Infuser. Infused with chili to compliment the tequila with a well-rounded spice, this infusion is perfect for a fun-filled day with friends. Just add to a pitcher with ice for an refreshingly energized drink for everyone to share.

Cocktail infusions are non-liquid, non-regulated, and can travel anywhere!
