Located in Boston’s Back Bay, Women’s Lunch Place is a safe, welcoming daytime shelter for women experiencing hunger, homelessness, and poverty. Every day, Women’s Lunch Place provides nourishing meals, vital services, and compassionate advocacy to hundreds of women in need. Beyond just food, they offer health care, wellness workshops, and a strong sense of community where every guest is treated with dignity and respect.

Their work reminds us that a meal is so much more than food—it’s hope, comfort, and the beginning of a better day.

The Mother’s Day Card Campaign: A Gift of Love and Nourishment

Each year, Women's Lunch Place offers a unique and heartfelt way to celebrate Mother’s Day through their Mother’s Day Card Campaign.

When you make a $25 donation, you’ll receive a beautiful, hand-designed card to send to someone special—your mom, a friend, a mentor. Even more meaningful, your donation provides five days' worth of nutritious lunches for a woman in need.

It’s a gift that honors the nurturing spirit of the women in your life while helping women who are facing real challenges right here in our city.

A Personal Commitment: Jim’s Story

For us, supporting Women’s Lunch Place isn't just a once-a-year project—it’s a year-round commitment.

Our co-owner, Jim, has been volunteering in the kitchen at Women's Lunch Place nearly every Monday morning for over five years. Rain or shine, Jim shows up to help prepare hot, wholesome meals for the women who walk through their doors. Whether he's chopping vegetables, preparing hearty soups, or serving meals with a smile, Jim embodies the spirit of service and compassion that Women's Lunch Place is all about.

Through his hands-on work, Jim has seen firsthand how a simple meal can bring comfort and dignity—and how important it is for these women to know they are cared for. His ongoing dedication inspires all of us at Blackstone’s to stay connected to causes that truly make a difference.
